EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
I earned my law degree from the University of Georgia Lumpkin School of Law, and have practiced law for more than 30 years, including in Athens-Clarke and surrounding counties. I have served as a prosecuting attorney in criminal cases, as well as having served as a Special Assistant Attorney General, representing the Georgia Department of Human Services in cases involving child abuse and neglect. I have served as a court-appointed Guardian ad litem for hundreds of children over the course of my career. I have represented countless parties in divorce, custody, legitimation and adoption proceedings. My practice now is limited to serving as a Guardian ad litem for children in custody, dependency, or termination proceedings, and to representing parties in custody, visitation, legitimation, and adoption cases, as well as Juvenile Court dependency and termination proceedings.
